bathtub poetry #01

I want to sift through the ruins

of Greece

I want to stand on the edge of the world

where the Ocean spit out the fleet

That would capture the blood and spit of

timeless horror

I want to uncover the secrets of the gods

who were never really gods

But who were Greeks just like the rest of us

My ears molt and fall to the sandy bank

Where I left my heart

though I had never set foot

there
